The Sector 3 City Hall has launched a reconstruction project for the 'Voievod Neagoe Basarab' School, taken over from the City Hall of the Capital, which is in an advanced state of degradation. The existing building will be demolished, and the new educational unit will be built according to modern safety and energy efficiency standards, with the capacity to accommodate 650 students. The project includes 22 classrooms, laboratories, a medical office, a library, and a gym, as well as outdoor spaces for recreation and sports. The completion of the works is estimated for 2026.
In addition, the Sector 3 City Hall is carrying out expansion and modernization works in another seven educational units, including schools and kindergartens, to improve study conditions and increase enrollment capacity. These works aim to build new classrooms and modernize existing spaces, and soon work will also begin at other high schools. Through these investments, the City Hall aims to reduce overcrowding and ensure a modern and safe educational environment for students and teaching staff.
