The Romanian Auto Registry (RAR) will temporarily interrupt its public-facing IT services on Saturday, October 31, 2026, between 3:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., for maintenance work. During this interval, online appointments for RAR activities cannot be made, and queries of the institution’s databases will be unavailable.

RAR recommends that drivers make their appointments before the work begins and check the necessary information in advance. To make a reservation, users must select the activity, branch, and desired time slot and correctly enter the vehicle details, including the chassis number. The number received at the end must be kept for presentation at the branch.

The interruption concerns the IT infrastructure and does not represent a general suspension of the activity of ITP stations. Appointments already made will not be automatically canceled, according to the information published by RAR.

Appointments are free and can also be made by phone at 021/9672, Monday through Thursday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., and Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. RAR warns that unofficial websites may charge between 50 and 300 lei for arranging an appointment.
