Railway traffic on the Măldăeni – Mihăești route, within the Craiova Regional Railway Branch, is temporarily suspended due to a broken rail identified at railway kilometer 115+500. The measure was taken for railway safety, and interventions have begun immediately, with CFR teams mobilized to assess and remedy the defect. In this context, three trains, R 11614 and R 9910, both heading to Bucharest North, and IR 72, on the Bucharest - Nord Curtici route, have been stopped at stations and are experiencing delays compared to the normal schedule. Track I on this section is permanently closed for railway infrastructure rehabilitation works. Traffic will resume under safe conditions after the completion of the interventions.
