Sorin Grindeanu, the president of PSD, stated that the social-democratic parliamentarians will vote in the extraordinary session of Parliament based on a single criterion: whether the proposed projects serve the interest of Romania and the Romanians. He emphasized that PSD supports the necessary reforms but will not approve initiatives that weaken state institutions or favor party interests.
Grindeanu mentioned that the extraordinary session must address the delays in attracting funds from the PNRR and resolve the urgent problems of citizens. Additionally, PSD will support the amendment of the Administrative Code, the law regarding the performance rewards for employees of ANAF, the decarbonization of the heating and cooling sector, as well as the Urbanism Code, respecting the outcome of the referendum in Bucharest. Grindeanu emphasized that PSD will not support changes that weaken the powers of ANI and that the salary law will be voted on only with the amendments accepted by the unions. In the end, he reiterated PSD's commitment to addressing the real problems of society, including the extension of the 9% VAT for housing and measures to temper fuel prices.
