During a press conference, Lia Olguța Vasilescu discussed the timeline for implementing the new salary law, mentioning that it will be staggered until 2031. The mayor of Craiova highlighted the anomalies in public administration, pointing out that many officials earn more than the minister's salary, which raises questions regarding salary equity.

Vasilescu drew attention to the financial pressure that the Craiova City Hall will feel in order to comply with the new salary scales, needing a funding source of over 2 million euros. Regarding the future of the law, the PSD leader stated that she does not believe it will pass in its current form, emphasizing the need for amendments to correct existing gaps.
