PSD Deputy Răzvan Iulian Ciortea has been sent to trial by DNA prosecutors for multiple offenses, including abuse of office and false declarations. The incident occurred on August 8, 2023, when Ciortea was caught driving on the A10 highway at 164 km/h, exceeding the limit of 100 km/h.

Although he claimed that the car was being driven by someone else, video evidence and the police report demonstrate that he was behind the wheel. Prosecutors argue that he obtained an undue benefit by avoiding legal penalties. The case has been sent to the High Court of Cassation and Justice, the competent court for cases involving parliamentarians. Additionally, questions have been raised regarding the deputy's asset declaration, which indicates financial discrepancies.
