Daniel Zamfir: PSD senators will vote against the Minister of Foreign Affairs, but there is room for negotiation

The leader of the PSD senators, Daniel Zamfir, announced that the social democrats will vote for the simple motion against the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Ţoiu, if it is submitted in Parliament, accusing the lack of consultation within the coalition regarding the support for the Mercosur agreement.

However, Zamfir specified that there is room for negotiation, in the event that the Prime Minister publicly assumes the decision to support the agreement, emphasizing that Romania's vote was decisive and that such a decision could not be made unilaterally. The PSD senator warned about the impact of the agreement on Romanian agriculture and excluded supporting a motion of censure against the Government, without ruling out the possibility of leaving the government if the political situation requires it.
