Hundreds of trade unionists from the Ministry of Finance and ANAF, affiliated to the Federation of Tax Administration Trade Unions 'Solidaritatea', organized a protest in front of the ministry, demanding the cancellation of recent tax measures. The protest includes vuvuzelas and placards with messages such as 'Tax capital and big property, not workers!'. The BNS has announced a calendar of weekly protests in front of public institutions, starting with the Ministry of Finance, to highlight the economic effects of austerity measures on workers. The government recently adopted a fiscal package that includes tax increases and spending cuts.
