On the A10 highway, a section of several meters has collapsed in the direction of travel Aiud-Turda, at kilometer 66, creating a high risk of accidents.

The difference in level between the affected area and the uncollapsed road is 10-13 centimeters. Authorities have marked the area with buoys and diverted traffic to the adjacent lane, which is not affected. The measures are temporary, and repair work is already underway. The causes of the collapse are unclear, but they could be related to water infiltration or execution problems. This incident is not singular, considering that the same section had similar issues in 2023. A technical investigation is underway to determine the reasons for the failure of the road structure, and the costs will be borne by the state, as the section is out of warranty.
