Mircea Abrudean, the president of the Senate, commented on Tuesday about the possible nomination of MEP Eugen Tomac for the position of prime minister, stating that this is speculation. He emphasized that the PNL's decision is clear: the party will go into opposition and will not be part of a government with PSD. Abrudean stressed the importance of finding a quick political solution for Romania, mentioning that any delay could have significant financial costs. He also pointed out that, at the time of the president's nomination of a prime minister, PNL will clearly communicate its position. The priorities of the new government, including the implementation of the PNRR and the continuation of reforms, are essential for the stability of the country. Abrudean reiterated that PNL will not collaborate with PSD in the future executive.
