Lawyer caught in the act while receiving 60,000 euros for interventions in justice, detained

Lawyer Adriana Georgescu, a member of PNL Sector 1, caught in the act by DNA prosecutors while receiving 60,000 euros in bribes in exchange for interventions in justice, has been detained. Both she and her accomplice will be presented on Thursday to the Bucharest Court of Appeal, with a proposal for preventive arrest for 30 days. 

According to investigators, the woman requested an amount of money ranging between 100,000 euros and 1,000,000 euros, intended for the electoral campaign of one of the candidates for the Capital City Hall. She also asked for money, claiming that, through another person, she would have influence over the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure.
