OMV Petrom has announced that it will be part of the exploration consortium for the offshore Han Tervel perimeter, located in the Bulgarian area of the Black Sea. OMV

will hold a 25% stake in this project, joining the operator Shell, which holds 42%, and Turkiye Petrolleri A.O. (TPAO), which has a 33% stake through its subsidiary Turkish Petroleum Overseas Company Limited.

The farm-in contract has been signed, and the completion of the transaction is in the process of being approved by the Bulgarian Government, according to legal procedures. This collaboration underscores OMV Petrom's commitment to expanding in the field of energy resource exploration in the Black Sea.
