OMV Petrom has invested €5.4 billion of the €11 billion plan through 2030

OMV Petrom has invested €5.4 billion to date, approximately half of the €11 billion budget earmarked through 2030, according to a report submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The company confirms that the first natural gas from the Neptun Deep project is expected to be delivered in the first half of 2027.

In 2026, the offshore project progressed through the installation of the Neptun Alpha platform and the development of the subsea pipeline and production infrastructure. Plateau production is expected to be reached by the end of the third quarter of 2027 and to continue for nearly 10 years.

OMV Petrom intends to drill another two to three wells in Romania and Bulgaria by 2030. The company is also developing renewable energy projects with a capacity of more than 1.3 GW and aims to reach storage capacity of over 0.3 GW.

At the Petrobrazi refinery, work on the SAF/HVO sustainable fuels facility is continuing. The unit is expected to be completed in 2028 and to produce 250,000 tonnes annually. Projects for green hydrogen are also under development, with 55 MW of electrolyzers.
