A 29-year-old man, without a driver's license, was detained for 24 hours by the police in Neamț after driving a car under the influence of alcohol, having a concentration of 0.66 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air.
The incident occurred on Saturday evening when the police were notified that a vehicle was driving erratically, endangering other people. The police attempted to stop the car, but the driver continued to flee, ending up in the bed of the Cracău River. After abandoning the vehicle, he tried to hide in a wooded area, but was found by the authorities. The man lives without legal status in the locality of Girov and is facing charges of driving a vehicle without a license and under the influence of alcohol.
