Nordis victims protest at the DNA, complaining about the investigation being delayed

Several people who say they were harmed in the Nordis case are protesting on Friday morning, starting at 10:00 a.m., outside the DNA headquarters in Bucharest. The protesters are calling for an expedited investigation into possible corruption offences and clarification of the responsibilities of the institutions involved.

The protesters are criticizing the pace of the investigation, saying that more than 15 months have passed since a criminal complaint was filed. They are requesting a swift and transparent investigation, without calling for the conviction of individuals outside the legal framework.

Institutions such as the State Inspectorate for Construction, ANPC, ANAF and the Cadastre Office are mentioned on the placards. The protesters also refer to political leaders, private flights, invoices and possible financial flows, asking prosecutors to determine whether they have criminal relevance.

The complaint was initially filed by four people on June 16, 2025, and was later joined by other alleged victims. They are requesting an examination of how several institutions, including Năvodari City Hall, exercised their duties, as well as clarification regarding cadastral documentation and construction completion certificates. The group states that it is not automatically accusing representatives of the institutions, but is requesting that the facts be investigated.
