Violence broke out again on Tuesday in Victory Square during the farmers’ protest, who are protesting the difficult situation facing Romanian livestock farming, as well as agriculture, after the protest was hijacked by “infiltrators.”

A violent group broke through the lines of gendarmes and is throwing objects at the security forces. Protesters infiltrated among the shepherds, allegedly supporters of Călin Georgescu, are throwing bricks and metal barriers at the security forces, according to News.ro.

In the context of the protest, the Traffic Brigade ordered traffic restrictions on Pavel Kiseleff Road, from Arch. Ion Mincu Street toward Victory Square; Monetăriei Street, from Ion Mihalache Boulevard toward Pavel Kiseleff Road; and Aviatorilor Boulevard, from the Aviators’ Statue toward Victory Square.
At the same time, the General Directorate of Gendarmes of Bucharest Municipality appealed to citizens to avoid the Victory Square area and follow the instructions of the security forces.
