USR Deputy Claudiu Năsui stated that, at present, neither the option of a minority PNL-USR-UDMR government nor that of a monocolor PSD Executive would gather enough votes in Parliament. According to his calculations, Sorin Grindeanu would need 10 additional votes to become prime minister, while Siegfried Mureșan would need 35.

Năsui believes that maintaining the Bolojan Cabinet is the most likely scenario, considering that PNL and USR have no interest in leaving the government, and PSD will not support a government in which it is not a part. He emphasizes that this government would be beneficial for Romania, as it will not be able to adopt ordinances and assume responsibilities that could lead to tax increases. PNL, USR, and UDMR have proposed Siegfried Mureșan for the position of prime minister, and President Nicușor Dan has convened party leaders for discussions. Now, the head of state has two proposals on the table: Sorin Grindeanu from PSD and Siegfried Mureșan from PNL, USR, and UDMR.
