Mihai Dimian, the interim Minister of Education, stated that the information claiming that the high school entrance exams will not have surveillance cameras and that the papers will not be anonymized is false.

The law allowing high schools to organize entrance exams was approved in 2023, and the ministry will prepare the exam subjects. Dimian emphasized that it is necessary to postpone this measure to allow for a public debate regarding the usefulness of a separate entrance exam.

Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated that he will analyze the proposals related to social scholarships and the organization of entrance exams, emphasizing that a correct decision will be made after consultations.

The order from the Ministry of Education has generated controversy, with opposition from PSD, PNL, USR, and educational NGOs, which argue that the measure will deepen inequalities in the system.
