Meteorologists announce a new wave of heat and tropical nights until Saturday evening / A yellow storm warning has also been issued for several areas of the country

Meteorologists from ANM have announced a heatwave that will affect several regions in the country, with temperatures reaching up to 37 degrees Celsius and tropical nights, starting from Wednesday, July 15, at 12:00 PM, until Saturday, July 18, at 10:00 PM. Thermal discomfort will intensify in the western, southern, and southeastern regions, where the temperature-humidity index will exceed 80 units. The heat will be felt in Crișana, Banat, and the western part of Oltenia, and during the nights in the west and south of the country, the minimum temperatures will be 20-21 degrees.

Additionally, ANM has issued yellow warnings for atmospheric instability for the days of July 15 and 16, with torrential downpours, electrical discharges, and wind intensifications. Rainfall amounts may exceed 30-40 l/m² in certain areas. In the counties of Timiș, Arad, Bihor, and Satu Mare, the heat and high thermal discomfort will be felt, with maximum temperatures of 34-36 degrees.
