A 34-year-old man, with dual citizenship, Moldovan and Romanian, wanted by Belgian authorities for a robbery of over three million euros, has been caught in Albița.

A 34-year-old man, with dual Moldovan and Romanian citizenship, was detected at the Albița border crossing, being wanted by the authorities in Belgium for committing a robbery of over three million euros. According to the statement from the Territorial Inspectorate of the Border Police (ITPF) Iași, the man presented himself for border control while driving a car.

Following the checks, the police discovered that an international arrest warrant had been issued in his name, with a sentence of ten years in prison for theft. His crime consisted of stealing cosmetic products worth over three million euros. The man was handed over to the operational team of the Vaslui County Police Inspectorate to take the necessary legal measures.
