A 38-year-old man from Satu Mare was detained after causing an accident with a blood alcohol level of 2.87 g/l, being transported to the hospital for care.

A 38-year-old man from Satu Mare was detained for 24 hours after causing an accident in the parking lot of a sports complex, having a blood alcohol level of nearly 3 per thousand.

The incident occurred on Saturday evening when the driver did not adjust his speed to the road conditions, losing control of the direction and hitting a public lighting pole. After the impact, the car grazed three parked vehicles. The man was injured and transported to the hospital, where tests confirmed a blood alcohol level of 2.87 g/l and 2.98 g/l. The police continue the investigation to establish all the circumstances of the accident.
