A 42-year-old man from Maramureș was detained for 24 hours after he assaulted his ex-wife and threatened her with a non-lethal weapon, following an incident that occurred at the end of October. The woman, aged 45, reported to the police on October 30, stating that she was hit by her ex-husband and threatened with a compressed air weapon, which caused her intense fear. The police, after assessing the risk, issued a temporary protection order for 5 days, considering that the victim's life was in danger. The weapon used in the threat was identified and seized for examination. The man is to be presented to the court with a proposal for preventive detention.
