A 37-year-old man from Kosovo, wanted by the judicial authorities in Germany for committing several robberies, was caught by Romanian police in the commune of Buturugeni, Giurgiu County.
The capture took place on July 8, following a request from the Braila County Police Inspectorate. Police officers from the Giurgiu Criminal Investigation Service, together with those from the Rural Police Station No. 6 Mihăilești, carried out an operation regarding wanted persons, successfully locating the suspect.
German authorities issued a European arrest warrant for him for robbery and theft offenses. The man was detained and taken to the Capital Police's Detention and Preventive Arrest Center, with the support of fighters from the Giurgiu Special Actions Service.
