On October 23, 2025, a 44-year-old man from Covasna County was stopped by police on the A1 highway while driving in the Ilia-Deva direction. The alcohol test showed a concentration of 2.38 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air. The Sibiu Police stated that the driver was later taken to a medical unit for the collection of blood samples, which revealed values of 3.47 g/l and 3.29 g/l of pure alcohol in the blood. The man was detained for 24 hours and is to be presented to the Prosecutor's Office next to the Deva Court, with a proposal for preventive measures. Investigations continue under the coordination of the Prosecutor's Office for the offense of driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
