A man broke into a woman's house in Dâmbovița and threatened her with death to ask for her friendship on Facebook.

A serious incident occurred in a commune in Dâmbovița, where a 48-year-old man forcibly entered the home of a 41-year-old woman, threatening her with death to demand that she accept his friend request on Facebook.

The two victims, the woman and her 17-year-old daughter, obtained temporary protection orders after a risk assessment showed that their lives and physical integrity are in danger. The man was detained for 24 hours and is being investigated for trespassing, blackmail, and threats. Authorities also ordered electronic monitoring of the aggressor. He will be presented to the magistrates for preventive measures. The criminal prosecution does not affect the principle of presumption of innocence.
