On Friday, August 15, a major fire broke out at a Sameday warehouse on Trei Fântâni street in Iasi, generating large amounts of smoke. ISU crews intervened promptly with three fire-fighting vehicles, a water transport vehicle, a rescue and intervention vehicle and a first-aid team. Residents were alerted by a Ro-Alert message and advised to stay indoors and close their windows to protect themselves from the toxic smoke.
