The mayor of Craiova, Lia Olguța Vasilescu, stated that the president of Romania is obliged to make a nomination for the position of prime minister after the expiration of the governmental interim and warned that if two successive proposals for prime minister are rejected by Parliament, early elections may be reached. Referring to the option of appointing Eugen Tomac for the position of prime minister, Vasilescu stated that he is "a person of good sense", but emphasized that the PSD will analyze any proposal based on the government program and the respect of political agreements.
