The president of UDMR, Kelemen Hunor, stated after the consultations with Nicușor Dan that no solutions have been identified for exiting the political crisis, after PSD withdrew its support for Ilie Bolojan, while the social-democrat ministers are preparing to resign from the Government on Thursday.
"We would still like a solution for the majority as it was established in May-June," said Kelemen Hunor, specifying that he does not "see what the solution is," considering the 45-day term in which the government continues with interim ministers.
"A minority government can be discussed if there is support from Parliament from individual parliamentarians," specified the UDMR leader. "The second solution is a motion of censure during the month of May; if it passes, the Government loses its mandate," Kelemen Hunor stated at the end of the consultations.
According to him, no solutions were identified even in the discussion with President Dan.
The President of Romania organized consultations on Wednesday in the context of the political crisis generated by the withdrawal of PSD's support for Bolojan. The first to enter the consultations were the social-democrats, followed by the liberals. At 15:00, there was the UDMR discussion with Dan, followed by the National Minorities Parliamentary Group at 16:30 and USR at 18:30.
