Judge Laurențiu Beșu, from the Bucharest Tribunal, has requested to be appointed as a prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office next to the Giurgiu Court, as part of a procedure organized by the CSM. His hearing is scheduled for December 16.

Beșu became known after he made revelations in the documentary "Captured Justice", in which he reported on his transfer to the Bucharest Court of Appeal, considered suspicious by his colleagues, in the context of a delicate case involving doctor Mircea Beuran. The judge stated that his transfer was influenced by the desire to change the composition of the panel judging this case. He also mentioned that his delegation to the Court of Appeal was extended, but was interrupted after he had a different opinion in another case.
