Police in Dolj have launched an investigation after a 56-year-old man from the village of Vela was found dead in his home. The investigation led to the identification of a suspect, a 39-year-old man from the same locality, who was taken in for questioning.

The incident was reported via an emergency call to 112 by the victim's partner, who discovered the body in the hallway of the residence. Investigation teams from the Criminal Investigation Service and the Forensic Service, coordinated by a criminal prosecutor, arrived at the scene. The body was transported to the morgue for an autopsy. Following the investigations, a suspect was identified, a 39-year-old man, also from the village of Vela, who was taken in for questioning. Investigative activities continue under the supervision of the prosecutor from the Dolj Tribunal.
