According to IGSU, on Saturday morning, around 7:00 AM, essential equipment for interventions was sent to the Republic of Moldova, consisting of 800 m of absorbent dam, 4,000 kg of absorbent material, 800 m of hessian cloth, and 500 m of absorbent roll.

These materials were provided by the National Administration 'Apele Române', and the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) coordinates the mission by allocating personnel from ISU Iași and ensuring the necessary transport equipment. The support provided to the Republic of Moldova was approved by the Decision of the National Committee for Emergency Situations no. 3 of March 12, 2026, and the actions are carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The authorities in the Republic of Moldova have reported pollution with petroleum products in the Dniester River, which occurred after a Russian attack on infrastructure in Ukraine.
