HiSky airline has announced the resumption of direct flights to Chicago starting June 4, 2026, after a 24-year hiatus. It will become the only airline offering direct connections between Romania and the USA, already having flights on the New York-Bucharest route. HiSky will operate two flights per week, with a duration of approximately 10 hours and 50 minutes for the Bucharest-Chicago flight. CEO Iulian Scorpan emphasized the importance of the Romanian community in Chicago and the company's commitment to meeting the needs of passengers.
