ROMATSA has notified airline HiSky that terminal air navigation services in Romania will be suspended starting November 1, 2026, at 00:00. The measure will affect all airports across the country and means that the operator’s aircraft will no longer be able to operate flights in Romania once the notification takes effect.

The document, reviewed by Antena 3 CNN, states that the services will remain suspended until the outstanding debts are paid in full or fully guaranteed. The resumption of operations will also depend on meeting the other conditions stipulated by the legislation in force.

ROMATSA’s notification comes amid reports of possible serious financial problems facing HiSky. The company’s situation is part of a broader context of financial difficulties reported in the case of several air operators in Romania.

The suspension is scheduled for November 1, 2026, and will apply to all airports in Romania. For now, the document provides no details about the amount of the debts or any measures the company may have taken to avoid the suspension of services.
