AnimaWings announced on Wednesday that it had initiated judicial reorganization proceedings, amid repeated technical problems affecting its fleet and economic pressures that have impacted the company’s operations. The airline operator says the measure is aimed at protecting continuity, stabilizing operations, and restructuring financial obligations.
The company currently operates only two Airbus A320 aircraft, and the reduced capacity will lead to adjustments to the flight schedule. In the coming period, some flights may be rescheduled or canceled on a case-by-case basis, depending on aircraft availability.
AnimaWings says that affected passengers will be informed directly, using the details provided in their reservations. For flights that can no longer be operated, the company announces that, depending on the situation, it will offer ticket refunds or alternative travel solutions. Requests will be prioritized based on how close the travel date is, but the assistance service’s response time may increase due to the high number of requests.
According to the company, the technical difficulties were compounded by reduced purchasing power, political instability, the challenging economic environment, and rising oil costs.
AnimaWings states that it will communicate changes through its official channels.
