The Bucharest Tribunal postponed on Wednesday the ruling on the insolvency application filed by the airline Animawings. The new date on which the application will be reviewed is to be announced.
The application was registered by the company on September 30, a few days after Animawings announced that it was abandoning flights operated with six of the eight aircraft it used. Subsequently, the operator also suspended flights operated with the other two aircraft until the end of October.
The information regarding the postponement of the ruling was reported by Economica. According to the publication, the insolvency case includes several creditors, including Banca Transilvania and the national air navigation services company ROMATSA.
The list of creditors also includes the airports in Oradea, Suceava, Brașov-Ghimbav, Craiova, Sibiu, Arad, and Timișoara. Several companies representing passengers’ rights, as well as a few individuals, are also mentioned. The Tribunal is to set the date on which it will continue hearing the application.
