Shortly beforehand, AnimaWings entered a series of legal stages related to insolvency: the company requested the opening of insolvency proceedings at the Bucharest Tribunal, but the court rejected its request, citing a lack of documents. Separately, requests submitted by several creditors were separated and given a later hearing date, November 11, 2026.
As a result of the proceedings, AnimaWings initially suspended all its flights until October 25, with the measure subsequently extended until November 15. In parallel, adjustments emerged in the charter area: Christian Tour announced that flights affected by AnimaWings' insolvency would be taken over by other carriers, specifying that customers' holiday packages were proceeding as planned.
Subsequently, the company filed another insolvency request, registered on October 20, 2026, with a hearing scheduled for October 28, following the earlier rejection.
