Romania’s national air transport carrier TAROM is suspending flights to Belgrade starting today, after operating the route between Romania and Serbia for 16 years.
The decision marks the withdrawal of a service launched in 2010. TAROM initially announced that the service would be suspended only for the winter season, but the company later removed the flights from its sales system for the summer 2027 season as well.
The update indicates that the route to Belgrade will not resume after the winter period, which currently marks the end of its operation by TAROM. The company did not provide, in the information cited, details about the reasons for the withdrawal.
The service remained in TAROM’s portfolio for 16 years, providing a direct air link with Serbia’s capital. The removal of the flights from the summer 2027 schedule confirms that the decision extends beyond a seasonal suspension. The information was reported by Profit.ro.
