Wizz Air is relocating flights from Timișoara to Arad from November 2 to 22 due to runway works

Wizz Air will temporarily relocate flights operated from Timișoara “Traian Vuia” International Airport to Arad International Airport from November 2 to 22, 2026. The measure is necessary because Timișoara Airport’s runway will be completely closed for repair works and to improve operational safety.

The airline announced that flights to and from Timișoara will operate from Arad during this period. The booking system has been updated, and passengers whose flights are affected have received an alternative schedule.

Those who made reservations directly through Wizz Air are advised to check their email and confirm the changes. Passengers who purchased tickets through travel agencies should contact the respective provider.

There are also a few exceptions. On November 2, flights to Dortmund and Memmingen/Munich West will depart from Timișoara and land in Arad. On November 22, flights from Rome Fiumicino and Bari will land in Timișoara, while all other Wizz Air flights that day will operate entirely from Arad. The runway will be closed from November 2 at 08:00 until November 22 at 21:00.
