A groom stole a wedding gift of over 94,000 lei and staged a robbery in Zalău.

A 29-year-old groom is being investigated by the police in Sălaj for misleading the judicial authorities, after he staged the theft of the sum of 94,060 lei, representing the wedding gift. The incident took place in his apartment in Zalău, where the young man created a robbery scene, ransacking items from the home and leaving the door ajar.

His wife, unaware of his plan, called 112 to report the theft. The police were notified on April 7, and following investigations, they managed to identify the suspect the next day. Currently, the investigations continue under the supervision of a prosecutor, and the young man is facing charges of misleading the judicial authorities.
