George Simion, the president of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR), criticized the SAFE program, stating that it is harmful and full of corruption allegations. In a press conference, he announced that AUR will file a complaint with the National Anti-Corruption Directorate (DNA) regarding possible corruption related to this program.
Simion emphasized that the PNRR program was poorly managed by the coalition of PSD, PNL, USR, and UDMR, similar to the SAFE program. He warned that those involved in corruption should not continue with it. Additionally, Simion ruled out the possibility of an alliance with PSD, mentioning that President Nicușor Dan does not allow such collaboration.
AUR demands fair representation in the Permanent Bureau, considering that it was voted by a third of the electorate. These statements were made after a press conference held at the Chamber of Deputies.
