Gas leaks have been reported again in Rahova, where a recent explosion caused three deaths. Distrigaz will resume gas supply in certain blocks.

A new alert has been issued in the Rahova neighborhood of Bucharest, where gas leaks have been reported following the devastating explosion that recently occurred, resulting in three deaths and 15 injuries. Representatives of Distrigaz have once again applied seals on the pipes to prevent risks.

Despite this incident, Distrigaz has announced that, starting from October 25, 2025, it will resume the supply of natural gas to certain properties in the area, according to a strategy approved by the authorities. This will be done in phases, under safety conditions, and customers in the specified blocks are requested to ensure access for Distrigaz teams. At the same time, the supply for other properties will only be resumed after the investigations by the authorities are completed.
