Galați: The contract for the modernization of the Berheci-Brăhășești road axis has been signed, worth 111 million lei.

The President of the Galați County Council, Costel Fotea, announced the signing of the contract for the modernization of a 16-kilometer road axis, between E581 and the localities of Berheci, Nărtești, Gohor, Corcioveni, and Brăhășești, with an investment of 111 million lei, funded by European funds.

The project will modernize the route E581 - DJ 241 - DJ 241A - DJ 241G, having a positive impact on approximately 15,000 residents who depend on road transport. The works will include road widening, rehabilitation of bridges and culverts, arrangement of road accesses and public transport stations, as well as equipment for road safety.

The project also includes afforestation of nearly seven hectares for a cleaner environment. The order to commence the works will be issued soon, and the contractors have 18 months to complete the project. Estimates show that traffic on this section could reach 1.5 million people annually.
