Downstream of the Iron Gates, the flows will be decreasing. For the month of December, the estimated maximum flow is 6,500 m³/s, while the minimum is 3,500 m³/s. On the inland rivers, the average flows will be relatively stable, with decreases on the middle and lower courses of the large rivers. Slight increases are expected on some small rivers in the hilly and mountainous areas, due to precipitation. The forecast for December 2025 indicates hydrological values between 50-80% of the multiannual averages, with exceptions on certain rivers. In the third decade of the month, ice formations may appear on the rivers in the mountainous area, gradually extending into other river basins, depending on temperatures.
