Five supporters of former presidential candidate Călin Georgescu have been prosecuted for inciting violence, hatred and promoting extremist ideologies, including fascist and racist. The charges include instigating messages posted on social networks in the context of the annulment of the second round of the presidential elections. The General Prosecutor's Office conducted an operation to identify and penalize extremist speech, resulting in several files, each with specific details of threats and incitement to violence against political opponents.
