Călin Georgescu has a hearing on Tuesday at the Bucharest District 1 Court in the case in which he is accused of fascist propaganda and of publicly promoting individuals guilty of genocide and war crimes.
Georgescu has a total of five criminal cases, and in two of them he has already been indicted. In one, prosecutors accuse him of publicly promoting fascist, Legionary and xenophobic ideas and doctrines, as well as the cult of individuals convicted of war crimes. The indictment concerns acts allegedly committed between June 2020 and May 2025, including a Legionary salute made at a protest in University Square.
In the second case that reached the court, Georgescu is accused, alongside Horațiu Potra and other individuals, of aiding and abetting an attempt to carry out actions against the constitutional order and of communicating false information.
