ANSVSA has imposed fines of over 550,000 lei following inspections carried out on the Coast for food irregularities.

The ANSVSA inspectors conducted checks on the Coast, from July 27 to August 2, within the framework of the 2026 Regional Summer Command, inspecting 277 units, including restaurants, pizzerias, confectioneries, and grocery stores.

As a result of these actions, 52 contraventional sanctions were applied, totaling 558,700 lei, including seven Orders for Suspension of Activity and five Orders for Prohibition of Activity. Additionally, 490,800 kg of non-compliant food products were seized and directed for neutralization. The main non-compliances identified included non-compliance with hygiene standards, improper handling of food products, and incorrect labeling.

ANSVSA announced that control actions will continue throughout the summer season to ensure food safety and protect public health.
