A woman from the county of Brăila died after her husband brutally assaulted her, hitting her with his fists, legs and a chair leg. The incident was reported by a relative and authorities discovered her dead in her home. The husband was detained and remanded in custody for 30 days. This is the 27th femicide case in Romania in 2025, highlighting a serious problem of domestic violence.
