A 39-year-old woman from Brașov was stabbed by her own husband following an argument that broke out at home

A 39-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed by her husband in an apartment in Brașov. Injured, she managed to leave the apartment and seek help at a nearby pastry shop, where an employee called 112. The woman was taken to hospital conscious and in stable condition.

According to doctors, the victim had three stab wounds to the chest, forehead and left ear. The 46-year-old man allegedly remained in the apartment and later attempted to take his own life. He was found in serious condition, intubated and mechanically ventilated, and was admitted to intensive care.

Neighbors said they heard screams and loud noises coming from the apartment. Witnesses claim that two of the couple’s three children may have witnessed the incident. One of the minors allegedly left the apartment together with the woman.

Police are continuing their investigation under the coordination of prosecutors to establish exactly what happened and the circumstances of the attack. The family had been renting the property since August.
