Environment Minister Diana Buzoianu has announced the intention to equip the control staff of Romanian Waters with bodycam equipment, after an inspector was assaulted during a control. This measure will be implemented after an analysis of the budget and high-risk areas. Buzoianu underlines that he will not allow employees to be victims of violence and will propose legislative changes to turn certain contraventions into criminal offenses, reaffirming the importance of respecting environmental law.
