The mayor of Cluj-Napoca, Emil Boc, stated on Digi24 that PNL will not support 'any political or technocratic government that includes PSD', in the context of speculations regarding the appointment of Delia Velculescu, an economist known for her work at the IMF, as a technocratic prime minister.

Boc emphasized that this position is 'a matter of principle' and was adopted almost unanimously by PNL. He mentioned that PNL will not turn into a 'button party' of PSD and that respecting this position is essential for the dignity and trust of the party on the political stage. Boc added that PNL will support projects related to European funds and necessary reforms, regardless of the political context. He also highlighted the dissatisfaction of citizens with the current government, including those expressed by voters of AUR and other parties.
